Hello,
I'm sending you the report about our experience with Kissy.
Kissy really is a very special dog, very loving, and also calm. She responds by her name, when she needs to do her business, she starts to smell the floor a lot and then we know we have to get her out. She enjoys the company of adults and young people, she loves to explore every corner of the place she is in, when she goes out she also enjoys exploring all the way, sometimes she doesn't want to walk, so she must be encouraged with gifts and affection.
We spent an incredible week with Kissy, she gave us her love and all her attention, she adapted to us and was happy with every gesture we shared. Duration of the Outing: 4 hours
1.) How did the dog do in the car? Kissy was perfectly calm during our car rides. She immediately snuggled up against my wife and napped on her lap on the ride back. She was hesitant to get out of the car, but she was good about getting into the car.
2.) How did the dog do on the leash? She wasn't too interested in walking around all that much, so I think she would do great in a home with less active people. While we were able to coax her to walk a bit more, she was happy to just sit and lay calmly next to us during most of the outing. She was also good about not pulling on the leash much.
3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? She was so friendly with every person. She happily accepted pets from multiple people.
4.) How was the dog near other animals? She was very calm and non-reactive towards other dogs as we walked.
5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? Yes, she was so well behaved! She calmly laid next to us during our entire meal. She was very relaxed in the busy environment.
6.) Did the dog beg for food? Not at all.
7.) How did the dog accept treats? She wasn't very interested in the treats we had.
8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? Many people said she was adorable, but no one could adopt her.
9.) Did you take photos and videos? Yes.
10.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? I will.
11.) Other comments: Kissy was so loving and affectionate! She warmed up to us instantly and she was glued to our side the entire day. She was so calm and relaxed the whole time. She happily sat on a bench with us for an hour just watching the water. Then we went to eat and she was content laying down next to us for another hour. Then she snuggled up next to my wife in the car and gave her kisses. Kissy has so much love to give!
