A2306064Sunday, 07 January, 2024 Meet Daisy! (A2306064) 2-Years-Old & 60 Pounds Daisy arrived at the shelter all the way back in August on 08/03/23 as a stray. This playful girl knows several commands including, "sit," "paw," and "lay down." She enjoys running around outside and playing with balls, but nothing beats her rope toys! She loves cuddles and affection and would prefer having your attention all to herself ?? She needs a strong walker as she can pull a bit at first, but she tends to calm down along the way. This sweet dog needs a home desperately as she is starting to lack her usual cheerful energy in this kennel environment. Won't you open your home to Daisy? ? For more information on Daisy, please contact us at: Foster@Broward.org. Sunday, 07 January, 2024 1:39PMNote-Fostblast

As she got more tired, she became easier to walk. 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? She was friendly with people. She let us 4.) How was the dog near other animals? She was curious about some of the dogs we saw and pulled slightly towards them, but she was easy to redirect. She calmly ignored other dogs as we walked by. 5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? She was great while we ate lunch. She laid calmly beside us the whole time. She was relaxed in the busy environment. 6.) Did the dog beg for food? Nope. 7.) How did the dog accept treats? She was very gentle and sat to accept treats. 8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? Not today. 9.) Did you take photos and videos? Yes. 10.) After spending a little time together, she became so affectionate with both of us. She was so happy to be outside, and her tail was wagging the entire time! A2306064Saturday, 06 April, 2024Broward Buddies Outing Date: 3/31/24 Dog Name and ID: Daisy (I don't have her ID on hand) Broward Buddies Foster Parents Name(s): Kristen Coniff & Malik Mosley Broward Buddies Outing Location(s) Visited: Press and Grind Coffee Shop, Holiday Park, Starbucks Duration of the Outing: 1:00 PM - 4:45 PM 1.) How did the dog do in the car? She was great in the car. She didn't try to advance into the front seat or anything. She mostly sat and panted but occasionally moved from side to side to sniff out of the cracked windows. She was a little nervous at first but grew more at ease each time we returned to the car. 2.) How did the dog do on the leash? She's very energetic so she does pull a lot on the leash and because she's heavy, she can drag the walker if they're not paying attention. She does eventually settle down though. 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? She was very friendly and seemed to favor approaching men over approaching women. She's initially a little cautious and reserved but after about 30 seconds, her tail started wagging each time. She took to some people quicker than others. 4.) How was the dog near other animals? She was very laid back around other animals at the park. She was leashed and walked but did not get excitable when she passed in proximity to other leashed pets and seemed wholly unbothered as we walked by a fenced dog park where other dogs were barking at her. She remained very calm. 5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? Perfectly. She didn't beg or bother and just waited. 6.) Did the dog beg for food? No begging - I actually remarked on this as I was eating because it was notable and surprising. 7.) How did the dog accept treats? She did and she was very gentle when taking them out of the hand. 8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? They showed interest in the program more than the specific dog though she received a lot of compliments and pets from people while out. 9.) Did you take photos and videos? I have a few photos and I will send them separately! 10.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? Pending. 11.) Other comments: Daisy is amazing and I really enjoyed my day out with her. I wish I could take her home myself but I feel she'd make a great family dog with her remarkable temperament.
