No barking, no destructive behavior. He needs to continue developing his crate skills though. Tuesday, 12 September, 2023 9:9AMBehavior

A2307191Tuesday, 10 October, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date: Thursday 10/5 to Sunday 10/8 Dog Name and ID: Rex - REX - ID#A2307191 Broward Buddies Foster Parents Name(s): Diego Ortiz Vega Broward Buddies Outing Location(s) Visited: Summary: Woof woof, pals! Rex here, and boy, did I have the time of my life this weekend. They say a dog's life is tough, but I'd argue it's ruff only when you're missing out on the fun stuff, am I right? My @browardbuddies @doov2001 and I hit the road for a tail-waggin' adventure. First stop? @wellscoffees. You won't believe it, they serve something called a "puppiccino." It's like a frappuccino, but for cool dogs like me. @Doov2001 said it's just whipped cream, but don't ruin the moment, okay? Then we sprinted-yes, sprinted!-to Holiday Park. Not just once or twice, but thrice! I did so many zoomies, even the squirrels got dizzy watching me. They should include me in the next Olympics; I'd win the gold in the 100-meter doggie dash for sure. Ah, but the cherry on top was Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and @parkandocean. It's like the doggy Disneyland, peeps. Met some of my shelter dog buddies there, all hanging with their Broward Buddies, too. I tried to play with everyone, but some older dogs told me I've got too much "puppy energy." @Doov2001 assured me that it'll get better after I get "fixed" next weekend. Fixed? I didn't know I was broken smh. Now, let me brag a little: I'm not just a handsome furball; I'm learning some awesome commands too. Sit, down, paw-I've got 'em down! Working on "stay" and crate training. I saw @doov2001 filming me. Hope it's for a blockbuster movie or something. Guess what happens when @doov2001 leaves me alone? I catch up on beauty sleep. Thought I was by myself, but then I heard Alexa. She must be my buddy's invisible friend because I couldn't sniff her out anywhere. Anyway, paws crossed, my forever home is just a wag away! Until then, keep those tails waggin', and maybe I'll see you at the park! Tuesday, 10 October, 2023 12:23PMBehavior

A2307191Tuesday, 10 October, 2023Meet Rex! (A2307191) 8-Months-Old & 50 Pounds Rex arrived at the shelter on 08/03/23 as a stray. He is an extremely outgoing personality who doesn't get many opportunities to shine when he's in a cage here at the shelter. Rex has had a few temporary fosters working hard to ensure he spends as much time in a home as possible, but he still doesn't have anyone permanent. Here is what his current temporary foster has to say about the sweet boy: Rex is usually very friendly with other dogs and humans. He loves going to the park and sniffing everywhere, and he gets the zoomies with grass recently cut or leaves on the floor. Rex loves his toys, especially chewy toys. He is housebroken, crate trained, and knows sit, paw, down, stay, leave it, and no. Rex gets very excited to go outside, but he is working on leash manners. He chases you around the house looking for pets and attention, and though he is not a huge cuddler and values his personal space, he loves being close to you and knowing you are there for him. He is very treat-motivated and learns new tricks very quickly. All in all, Rex is a certified good boy. A2307191Tuesday, 16 January, 2024Meet Rex! (A2307191) 11-Months-Old & 55 Pounds Rex arrived at the shelter all the way back in August as a stray. This poor boy has been in and out of foster homes for months, constantly being switched between different people and places. Rex ended up returned to the shelter today. We desperately need an experienced dog foster who can provide a permanent home for the sweetheart until he finds his adopter and forever home. We even have a dedicated volunteer who would love to help in training Rex. Rex has been excellent with other dogs, especially those who love to play and match his puppy energy. He is also crate- and house-trained already. He needs some further leash training, but that is where our volunteer contact would love to jump in and help. For more information on Rex, PLEASE contact us at: Foster@Broward.org. Tuesday, 16 January, 2024 6:2PMNote-Fostblast
