A2307049Saturday, 09 December, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date: 12/3/23 Dog Name and ID: Gunder Broward Buddies Foster Parents Name(s): Chelsea Broward Buddies Outing Location(s) Visited: Wolf Lake and Wendy's Duration of the Outing: 1.) How did the dog do in the car? He will not get in the truck. It took me 10 mn to get him in the truck the first time. Even with a treat bribe. He finally put his front paws up and allowed me to lift him in the rest of the way. Leaving the park was the same way. Once in the truck he did just great. Nose out the window, laid down, sat up and looked out the front window. 2.) How did the dog do on the leash? He is a very strong boy and he pulled the entire time 2 laps around the lake. He loves to stop and sniff and there were times he walked next to met but the majority of the time he pulled. 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? He was great around people. Very nosey wanting to know what people were doing. We went by a big group of adults and kids playing with RC cars and he wanted to get right in there with them. 4.) How was the dog near other animals? We passed multiple dogs. If a dog wasn't interested in him he pulled toward them but would keep walking past with little problem. When we passed a dog that was dog aggressive he would not want to leave that alone. We would walk and turn around multiple times. Tried to redirect with treats but he was focused on them. Once we passed far enough I had him sit and look at me to give me his attention and we moved along. 5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? He is very into treats and food. He wants it all and all the time. He will take it out of your mouth if you let him. No personal space for food. 6.) Did the dog beg for food? We were in pretty close proximity when eating so it gave him the opportunity to be right next to me. He wanted the food. He didn't cry or wine or bark for it though. 7.) How did the dog accept treats? Very gentle. 8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? We talked to 3 people but I don't think they were interested in him. Just that he's handsome and I explained where we were from and what we were doing. 9.) Did you take photos and videos? Yes 10.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? A2307049Saturday, 09 December, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date Continued: 12/3/23 11.) Other comments: Gunder has puppy energy. He is very strong but he is very sweet! He showed dominance to me 1/4 of the way walking and then he gave into me. He does not want to get in the truck but once he's in he's totally fine. He stayed in the back but he was next to me in the middle a lot. He grew attached to me quickly. He gives great kisses and is just a lover. He LOVES to swim. I wish to take him to a real lake to swim maybe next time. He dove in splashed around got the zoomies. Water is his true love. I told him I would make sure to tell everyone that no matter who gets him I would make sure that they know how much he LOVES to swim. When I dropped him off I turned around and saw him standing in the window looking at me like "hey where you going" and it absolutely broke my heart. We had a great time together and anyone would be lucky to have him. Saturday, 09 December, 2023 4:51PMBehavior
A2307049Sunday, 10 December, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date: 12-09-23 Photos will be sent in two or three separate emails. Robin and I took Gunder out for a Broward Buddies date. Gunder had a lovely time walking and playing at Boaters park. He is a very active dog and is interested in exploring everything around him. He also loves to play with toys. I am attaching a video of him playing with his toy also. He is definitely full of energy and can sometimes pull hard on a leash. He is extremely strong. He is loving and loves to kiss you. His kisses are strong and powerful. Once we got all of that energy out, we took him out for lunch and he was able to relax and lay on the floor while drinking his water. Everyone who met him commented he was a beautiful dog. He is able to relax after he has walked and played for a while. High energy boy who's all about love. Gunder will fill your life with THUNDER!! A2307049Thursday, 04 January, 2024Broward Buddies Outing Date: 1-1-24 I came and took Gunder out this morning for a walk at TY park. He is a water dog! We had a good breakfast at Moonlite Diner where he got a sausage patty and a pup cup! This time he was a little more reactive on the leash, but it could have been the cooler weather and the excitement. He is also doing the jumping and nibbling behavior, which reminded me of Isabelle ??. He is good with correction! Thursday, 04 January, 2024 11:56AMBehavior
A2307049Saturday, 06 January, 2024Broward Buddies Outing Date: 12-26-23 Holiday was on a sleepover (yay!), so I took out Gunder! Gunder is a big boy, but a big softie. He was great on the leash during our long walk at Vista view park! He enjoyed rolling around in the grass. Next up was a bath at pet supermarket, where all he wanted to do was lick my face during the bath. He smells wonderful! Lastly he showed off his "sit" skills for his own burger patty. He does put his pa s up on counters and tables, but is easily corrected. Gunder wants nothing more than to be constantly pet. He is a love bug! Saturday, 06 January, 2024 5:41PMBehavior

A2307049Wednesday, 31 January, 2024Broward Buddies Outing Date 1-30-24: I scooped up Gunder this morning and brought him home for a pack walk with our larger dog. Gunder did great! We did not introductions in the backyard, where they start d playing, with my dog correcting him a couple times and Gunder respected by backing off. He is a big boy and loved to play! No issues with mounting, or anything else! We gave them a break and took Gunder to Red Fox Diner in lighthouse point for some lunch, where he had some scrambled eggs. He LOVED it. Gunder was happy to be shopping assistant at Lowes and Home Depot, where I bought some new plants and blinds. He got some pets from people and a few compliments. We brought Gunder back home for some more play time, he assisted me with planting, and he even met my small male dog! Gunder was definitely curious and also backed away if my dog barked for some space. We were pleasantly surprised at how playful and loving he was to our dogs. Big guy slept the whole way back to the shelter. We worked on some leash skills and bringing the ball back after fetch (he wanted to lay in the grass with the tennis ball after he got it lol). He got to play with our larger dog before and after bath time. We introduced him to the smaller dogs and he did great! My grumpy old Chihuahua would bark at him and he would jump back and leave her alone. He was also cat tested and pass d with flying colors! Gunder joined me to grab lunch at seaside subs in Deerfield and he got LOTS of pets and some interest! I exchanged phone numbers with a woman who did text about more info for him! She said she wanted to speak with her husband who was out fishing, so we shall see! He also accompanied us to Lowes, where he was a good helper. We spent the rest of the day playing in the yard, with Gunder taking a nap in the grass and sun. He is not house trained... He marked on the couch ?? We had a great time. Our dogs are exhausted. Gunder was too, snoring loudly on the ride back to the shelter. I won't be able to take him out next week, but we will be back for him soon! Sarah Lower Sunday, 04 February, 2024 6:18PMBehavior

A2307049Saturday, 17 February, 2024Broward Buddies Outing: 2-16-24 I picked up Gunder early yesterday morning and brought him back to my house for a neighborhood walk to get out some energy. After some playing and running around in the backyard, we took him to the Cove Restaurant for a firemen retirement event. He was the star of the show! I didn't get many photos between everyone petting him and asking me questions about him/shelter/BB dates. It was fun to guess Gunder's breed... Going with Lab/AMS/maybe Rottweiler? He would be a fun dog for DNA testing ?? Gunder also got a pup cup and a long trip to Lowes, with lots of more pets. I could tell he was tired because he was not a helper like he usually is. Still cute though. My fiance and I took the long drive back to the shelter because it was such a beautiful day for us to roll down the windows so he could enjoy the wind in his face (which he LOVES). It was another great day and I hope he was worn out enough for a good Saturday! Saturday, 17 February, 2024 6:39PMBehavior
A2307049Wednesday, 28 February, 2024Broward Buddies Outing Date: 2-27-24 I picked up Gunder this morning and took him for a nice long walk at TY Park. He has made excellent progress in his leash skills and getting in our and of my car. We have a good routine and he has been a LOT better when it comes to jumping up on me/people/nibbling. We then took the long way with the windows down (he loves to peak his head out the window and feel the wind) to Petco where he got some bulk treats and to watch the fish. We had lunch, where he had a chicken taco and he loved it. Last stop was at the fire station, where he got to go inside the fire engine and hang around the bay area, where he got LOTS of pets. Gunder has never barked while out of the shelter, he has been great around other dogs, and man does he LOVE people. Photos attached and as always, I'll be back for him soon enough. Big guy was chasing the waves, jumping in the water, twirling me around the beach with the zoomies (he stayed on leash) and was digging in the sand. I've seen him happy before, but this was a whole new level! We had the beach to ourselves! Gunder definitely got a bath to wash off the sand. We took Gunder to Millers Ale House in Hollywood for lunch, where of course he was spoiled with a chicken breast. He has made so much progress, as he is not jumping up on the table, not begging for food (he knows it's coming) and was laying down, allowing us to eat our lunch. We ended the fun-filled morning with the windows down and Gunder's face in the wind. Hopefully you guys can play the video! Friday, 08 March, 2024 5:37PMBehavior

After some gazing at the lake, I took the long way to Quarterdeck in Davie for some lunch, a hamburger patty, and lots if pets from the staff. We were both pretty tired from yesterday, so we called it an early afternoon. Sunday, 17 March, 2024 3:16PMBehavior

A2307049Saturday, 27 April, 2024Broward Buddies outing Date: 4-23-24 I picked up Gunder thisoening and took him to TY park for a good walk and some sunshine. My fiance had a break in some home remodeling work, so we met him for breakfast at Red Fox Diner where he surprised Gunder (and me) with Gunder's very own Florida Panthers Bandana! Panthers are in first round of playoffs, so GO CATS GO! He was more happy about the sausage patty and pets from people walking by :) I took Gunder to Snyder Park to the doggy lake area (Tuesday afternoon with the low crowds is key) and he was AWESOME! He was making friends with big dogs, small dogs, people.... He did great. Gunder didn't actually swim, but he was jumping in and out of the water and was sticking to his Frenchie friends.
