A2282221Wednesday, 03 May, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date: Friday, April 28 Dog Na and ID: Lulu - A2282221 Broward Buddies Foster Parents Name(s): Nicole Thompson Broward Buddies Outing Location(s) Visited: Cheesecake Factory, Walked all over Las Olas Riverwalk Duration of the Outing: 1.) How did the dog do in the car? Lulu did great in the car, at first, she was excited and wanted to come into the front seat, but after a nice long walk she settled and laid down in the back seat nicely. 2.) How did the dog do on the leash? Lulu did well on the leash, kept walking nicely and didn't stop too much. She could use some basic leash training in order to heel or prevent herself from tugging too hard as she would get very excited at times and would try to pull ahead. 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? Lulu LOVED the attention from anyone who would give it to her. She loves to be pet and tries to lick a lot. I didn't take her around any small children, but she was fine around kids that were a little older that she interacted with. 4.) How was the dog near other animals? Lulu seemed interested in other dogs and would wag her tail and show interest to go closer. I kept my distance since I was told she was not dog social. 5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? Lulu was interested in the food on the table and tried to put her paws up on the table for food. After a while, she laid down or played with her toy instead. I think she would do great with a chew bone to keep her busy while humans are eating. 6.) Did the dog beg for food? Yes 7.) How did the dog accept treats? Lulu loved treats and was very food motivated. 8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? One person showed enough interest to ask for an application. One lady and her daughter stopped to take a picture in order to share on social media and spread the word. I showed her what accounts to follow on Instagram in order to tag properly. 9.) Did you take photos and videos? Yes 10.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? Yes Wednesday, 03 May, 2023 10:53AMBehavior
A2282221Wednesday, 03 May, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Continued 4-28-23: Lulu was a great dog, full of love and affection! She loved walking around the Las Olas Riverwalk and was able to go for quite a while before she got tired. She loved the attention she got and was especially alert to her surroundings. Lulu showed interest in other dogs passing by wagging her tail and looking in their direction. Lulu was very teachable and will make a great dog for a family with some basic manors training. Lulu loved going for a ride in the car and eventually laid down in the backseat after checking out the windows for a while. The only time Lulu barked was when a mid-aged man approached that caught her off guard at the restaurant and one other time when she saw a gentleman laying in a boat we walked by. She saw the gentleman well before I did, which tells me she is very alert to her surroundings. The loud noises of all the downtown construction and the airplanes in town for the airshow flying overhead didn't seem to bother Lulu at all. Lulu loved to be pet and was very willing to give kisses to anyone who pet her. Lulu loved her treats but also loved her toys as well. Lulu seemed to love drinking her water as it was being poured into the bowl, and got excited when she saw fountains, which tells me she might enjoy playing in water if given the chance. Lulu had a great temperament and was extremely loving. She seems ready to give her heart to anyone who is willing to give theirs.Wednesday, 03 May, 2023 10:54AMBehavior

A2282221Sunday, 14 May, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date: 5-13-23 -I had the best experience with little Lulu today! -We started our adventure off at getting a bath at my daughters house and Lulu really enjoyed the water. -My 2 yr old granddaughter had a blast with Lulu and she was so sweet and kind. -Afterwards Lulu and I stopped for lunch at the Quarterdeck Restaurant where she dined on 2 juicy hamburgers. No complaints there! -Then we headed downtown to Las Olas to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. -We had refreshments at Ann's Wine Bar and Florist where everyone made Lulu feel like a star for the day!! -So far everywhere we went people all swooned in on Lulu! -And of coarse Lulu went to Lululemon to help me shop and enjoyed more kisses and hugs from everyone around!! -Such a beautiful pup and Lulu was so easy and calm everywhere we went. -She actually enjoyed the car ride and would occasionally let her ears flap in the wind while driving!! -I can't wait to take Lulu out again and show her off and hopefully help find her a loving home!?? A2282221Wednesday, 24 May, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date: 20/05/2023 Dog Name and ID: Lulu Broward Buddies Foster Parents Name(s): Esteban Angel Broward Buddies Outing Location(s) Visited: Lauderdale Brewery and TY Park Duration of the Outing: 1.) How did the dog do in the car? Overall, she was well behaved. She tried to get to the front seat once while I was driving. I told her to go back, and she followed the command. It would be nice if she was more relaxed, but I understand she was very excited for the trip. 2.) How did the dog do on the leash? She was frequently pulling on the leash, even towards the end of our walk at TY. When I managed to get her attention, she followed me attentively, but this didn't last long. It would be nice if you could train her to walk on the leash without pulling. 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? Very friendly around people and kids. She likes to be petted and is very affectionate. I approached a couple of groups, and she loved receiving their attention. 4.) How was the dog near other animals? I didn't have the change to interact with other dogs. In terms of wild animals like squirrels or iguanas, she was very reactive. 5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? I didn't eat while with Lulu. Although, during my stop in Lauderdale Brewery she behaved properly. 6.) Did the dog beg for food? No. 7.) How did the dog accept treats? Lulu sometimes accepted treats. I found myself picking a couple of treats she didn't eat. 8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? Yes, there was a person that asked to adopt her. I gave her the dog's information and she said she was going to contact the shelter. 9.) Did you take photos and videos? Yes 10.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? Yes, you can find it attached to this email. 11.) Other comments: I recommend you train her to reduce mouthing. This is problematic when handling toys or treats as she will try to take it out of your hands. Wednesday, 24 May, 2023 11:33AMBehavior

How did the dog do in the car? she did really well. (I sat with her in back seat) She didn't mind the ride at all, and in fact fell asleep in the way back 2.) How did the dog do on the leash? Wanted to be in the lead, so there was some pulling. When this happened I simply stopped walking, and she did too. I think she would be a quick study with the right training 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? She liked ladies and children, but growled at a burly man with a white beard, and a second man with similar build. He was bald though. She was friendly with everyone else 4.) How was the dog near other animals? She was playful with a caged kitten, non-reactive when a rude poodle charged her 5.) How was the dog around other people to include kids?: no kid exposure with me, but friendly with strangers! No issues 4.) Duration of the Outing: 5 Hrs 1.) How did the dog do in the car? Lulu was amazing in the car. She cuddled with me in the back most of the time but would occasionally look out the window. She loves when the A/C or the wind is blowing in her face. 2.) How did the dog do on the leash? She walked GREAT on a leash. She only pulls when she is really excited. She also knows her limits - If it's too hot she will walk to the shade, if she is tired she will lay down but once she's ready again she will let you know. 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? She was not reactive with kids or dogs while walking but was when we were sitting at Funky Buddha she was a bit scared of the kids. She barked once and backed away. Not aggressive at all. With people she was SOO loving and friendly. 4.) How was the dog near other animals? She had a few interactions with other dogs and was completely fine! No signs of aggression or being scared. 5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? She would try to eat & drink the food/drinks a few times but once you put her on the ground after a few times, she just lays down. Once she lays down she won't even stare at you for it. 6.) Did the dog beg for food? Not exactly, she would try to grab the food/drinks when it first came but after 5-10 minutes she layed down on the ground! 7.) How did the dog accept treats? She LOVES her some treats!! She would sniff the bag and try to open it to snatch some more lol. 8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? YES! Pretty much everyone that met her actually!! When we went to Funky Buddha three of the waiters and two of the customers were interested in adopting her or participating in the Broward Buddies program. We gave all of the adoption QR codes away! 9.) Did you take photos and videos? Yes 10.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? How did the dog do in the car? She didn't sit still in the car. There were a few short moments where she laid down, but overall she was standing up. She looked outside the window a little bit. 2.) How did the dog do on the leash? Not very well, she pulled and it would be better if she were on a harness because she is very strong. She liked to chase after lizards or anything she saw moving in the bushes. 3.) How was the dog around other people to include kids? She likes to jump on people and we didn't really get her around other people too closely, so unsure about that. She was too rough with my 9 year old son because she likes to jump. 4.) How was the dog near other animals? We did not take her near other dogs because we were not sure how she would behave. 5.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? No, she jumped on the table a lot and she would not lay down or sit still (if she laid down, it was only for a few seconds). 6.) Did the dog beg for food? When the food came, she jumped on the table. 7.) How did the dog accept treats? She was not that interested in the treats, she ate a few, but first she took them out of the bowl and spread them all over the floor, then she went back later and ate them. 8.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? No. 9.) Did you take photos and videos? No 10.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? No 11.) Other comments: Lulu is very active, she is also hard to handle. I understand that it is because she is locked up most of the day, but she never really calmed down at all. We took her for short runs so she could get her energy out and she was tired for a little bit, but I think she just has so much energy, it is hard to keep up with her. I don't think she would do well around small children because she likes to jump and she also nibbles a little on hands and other items, and she is a little rough. My son did not want to play with her because she nibbled too hard on him and she knocked him down. Wednesday, 09 August, 2023 11:43AMBehavior

A2282221Tuesday, 12 September, 2023Broward Buddies Outing Date: 8-29-23 1) When Lulu first got in the car she was crazy. I don't think she knows the difference between toys and not toys because she kept chewing on my arm and it was very difficult to get her off. I think it would be a good idea to put a bigger toy in the bag since the ball kept falling out of her mouth and rolling away. 2) Lulu did incredible on the leash. I am not a strong person and I was able to walk her easily. 3) Lulu did react to anybody. 4) When we saw other dogs Lulu couldn't care less. 5) Lulu tried to eat our food, but luckily she stopped after a couple of times. 6) Lulu didn't whine, she just made cute faces at us. 7) Lulu happily accepted treats. 8) Yes, we met a woman who has a dog who looks exactly like Lulu, without the spots. She took a picture of Lulu's paper. 9) Yes! 10) Lulu was very excited in the beginning and I am not sure if she will be great with younger children since I have bruises; they are not bad at all and I bruise easily. She is an amazing dog and super sweet. I also did not hear her bark once. Tuesday, 12 September, 2023 10:18AMBehavior
