A2239741Tuesday, 01 November, 2022G000698 Cyst removal Elliptical incision with blunt dissection; ligated SQ vessel closed with 2-0 PDS wih modified colorado pattern. Anesthesia was induced using an injectable combination of sedatives Maintenance: endotracheal tube, isoflurane Patient was aseptically prepared for surgery. A ventral midline skin incision was made and extended through subcutaneous tissue and abdominal wall. The ovarian pedicle and uterine body were exteriorized, ligated and inspected for bleeding. The rectus fascia and the subcutaneous tissue were sutured. An intradermal pattern with absorbable monofilament suture was used to suture skin. Tissue glue was applied to incision. A green tattoo was applied on the abdomen to indicate patient has been sterilized. A microchip was inserted. RABIES VACCINE ADMINISTERED: RABVAC Serial#: D353143A Exp: 1/14/23 Discharge instructions: 1. Exercise restriction: no running, jumping, playing with people or other animals, or long walks. 2. Do not bathe for 10 days 3. Suture removal not necessary 4. Monitor incision for discharge, redness, swelling. She was too afraid to get into the car. I tried for several minutes but she wanted to flee. How was dog near other animals? Good. She ignores other dogs when leaving her kennel run. Outside she doesn't bark at other dogs. On occasion she will pull toward a dog. In the Play Yard she ignores the other dog in the other yard. There were several iguanas in the park. She observed them and slowly moved toward them. No barking and not lunging at them. Did dog behave while you were eating? We only went for a walk on the street and in the park Did dog beg for food? No. How did dog accept treats? Good. She wasn't too interested in treats. She only ate a few. Did anyone show any interest in dog? No. There were no other people in the park. Did you take photos and videos? Yes. Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? Yes. Other comments: Rosalee is a sweet and loving dog that needs time to adjust to new surroundings. She loves to play fetch. She will return the ball and allows you to take the ball from her mouth. She doesn't obsess over the ball. She is an active and playful 2 years old. She is affectionate and welcomes petting. She is relaxed when being petted on her head, back, chest or ears. She walks best with a harness. Rosalee is medium size, housebroken and sheds very little. She is approximately 50 lbs., full-grown, Hound mix. Rosalee is uncertain to any new surroundings or sounds. She needs time, patience and exposure to overcome that. She is very comfortable at the Shelter and is very easy to take from her kennel run. Outside she looks forward to playing and seeing the other dogs. A2239741Saturday, 31 December, 2022Broward Buddies Date: Today was Sweet ROSALEE's first time out of the Shelter yard in three months. Rosalee observed at all the new sights, sounds and smells once outside. Rosalee is a beautiful MEDIUM size, brindle girl. She is TWO years old, Full-Grown and HOUSEBROKEN. She is active, playful, affectionate, likes petting and loves to play fetch with a tennis ball. Rosalee is approximately 50 lbs. A slender HOUND MIX. She has done a couple of Play Groups with mix reviews. She doesn't bark or pull toward any of the dogs leaving her kennel run or out in the yard on walks. Rosalee is never mouthy and will give you a lick or two to let you know how much she enjoys your company. She walks best with a harness. Rosalee is a very sweet dog who needs someone with patience to let her get to know you. Once she does, she is a loving, loyal pet.
