1.) How did the dog do in the car? -Merida climbed all over the car! She wanted to sit in my lap for some of the car ride! And she succeeded:) I recommended who ever takes her next to have at least 2 people or maybe a harness to keep her in the back seat!! After I took her on a hour long walk she was much more calm but she did insist on sitting in the passenger seat. So maybe walking her from the get go would help!!
2.) How was the dog around other people? -Merida is a love bug!! She was adorable! She loves people and she is very affectionate. She wants to be loved on. And she loves belly rubs!!
3.) How was the dog near other animals? -Merida is not dog friendly unfortunately:(
4.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? -She LOVES food. She ate her puppicino in about 5 seconds. And then I got a late lunch where she did jump on me and tried to eat my food.
5.) Did the dog beg for food? -She didn't beg but she definitely tried to take some!
6.) How did the dog accept treats? -She loves treats! She does not wait for them though and she takes them from you.
7.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? -No :( It was raining most of the day so unfortunately we did not come across many people!
8.) Did you take photos and videos? -Yes I will send them to the email below!
9.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ?
10.) Other comments: -I loved taking Merida out for the day and can't wait to volunteer again! She is overall a good girl who would do well in a house with no dogs.

A2195423 | Thursday, 12 January, 2023 | Broward Buddies Date Continued...
6.) How did the dog accept treats?
When we first got in the car she was obviously very excited. I keep my belongings in a fanny pack so when I tossed it down onto the floor she grabbed it as if to chew on it. I noticed the gentleman working had a fanny pack he kept his treats in so I think she just thought mine might be the same, there was no issue with my bag after that though. When I would go into her day bag to get her treats she was really well behaved. She didn't jump up on me or try to get it out of my hand. She sat when I told her to sit and took the treat genty from my hand.
7.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog?
There were a couple people who made comments about how cute she was and how much they adored her but they had made comments about already owning multiple other dogs at the time.
8.) Did you take photos and videos?
Yes
9.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ?
They had to be sent as a Google Drive. Please let me know if you're able to view them or not.

Dog Name and ID: Merida and ID unknown
Volunteer Name and Phone Number: Alex Hartney
Broward Buddies Date Location(s) Visited: Cali Coffee and Tree Tops Park
Duration of the Date: 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
1.) How did the dog do in the car? At the beginning of our date Merida was so excited, she wouldn't stay in the back seat. She kept coming upfront to be closer to me. She liked being in the passenger seat and being as close to me as possible. It seemed like she really loved human contact and just wanted to be a loved little copilot. When we went through the drive through she did come onto my seat when we got to the people. I'm confident if she was baracadded in the backseat she would've stayed back there and just stuck her head out the window though. On the way home she was pretty tuckered out from the walk and stayed in the backseat, going from the seat to the floor, all the way until we got to the shelter's street.
2.) How was the dog around other people? She was absolutely incredible around other people, I would say people are one of her favorite things haha. We went and got a pup cup at Cali Coffee and the girls there loved her. She stuck her head out the window asking for pets and they all gave her some talking so much praise of her, which really had her tail wagging. When people came up to her at the park she would roll over on her belly and when people walked past us she was unphased, didn't jump at them or try to force herself on them.
3.) How was the dog near other animals? It was noted that Merida was not dog social so anytime we saw another dog on our walk we turned the other way. She wasn't phased at all at them in the distance. At the park we took a break and sat at a bench, she sat right between my legs and as other dogs walked by she watched them and didn't react. I was really proud of her.
4.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? She licked the top of my coffee thinking it was more pup cup for her but once she realized it wasn't she left it alone no problem.
5.) Did the dog beg for food? I didn't have any food around her.
