D/I 8/3/22
Location 7320 Branch St Hollywood
Time 5:02pm
Arrived and met with Mr. Jose Mejia. He showed me a photo of a dog ( AMS, Female, Brindle, A2207608 ) attacking / Killing a cat. I was advised that the cat ( DSH, Brown Tabby, A2207610 ) was killed in the incident. He advised that he placed the Deceased cat in a garbage bag and put it in his trash can. He advised that he found the dog 3 days ago and was waiting for an ACO to come and pick it up. While holding onto the dog in his home. He let the dog outside to use the bathroom. The cat went onto his property and the dog attacked and killed the cat. I removed the DOA Cat and will place it in the proper place at BCAC. Photo were taken of the deceased cat.
I would put the BCS at a 5 and the FAS at a 0 for the dog. 3128
No ID or Chip was found on either the dog or the cat. 3128 | Thursday, 04 August, 2022 1:47PM | Note |

Glady was anxious initially with heavy panting in the car. This subsided after we arrived at Gore Betz Park. She had a snack & some water. We did a few laps, but then a light rain caused us to retreat to a covered picnic area. We then went to Coontie Hatchee Landings park. Glady enjoyed being outside and enjoyed taking in the fresh air and smelling everything. She did seem very intimidated by the canal & boats. She did meet a few people, but it was brief. I did not bring her close to any other dogs in the area since she is reactive. Glady's behavior in the car was great. She was fairly docile and just wanted to see what was going on. Overall, the experience was low key, simple and a success. I look forward to spending more time with Glady soon. | Wednesday, 30 November, 2022 6:5PM | Behavior |

A2207608 | Friday, 09 December, 2022 | FOSTER UPDATE:
I wanted to give you an update on how Glady is doing with us so you can update her profile on your website. She is an amazing dog! She is soo sweet and loving with adults and kids. She loves her belly rubbed, giving kisses, knows quite a few commands, and walks perfectly on a leash. She is playful and loves chew toys so we have to keep pillows and children toys away from her. The first couple days she had a few accidents in the house but with training she is now doing much better with rare accidents. She loves walking the neighborhood and doesn't bark at people or other dogs. The only time she ever barks is at the mailman! She has settled in so nicely and we can tell she was in a loving home at some point. I'm still not sure how long we can keep her but for now we are taking good care of her. I will need to pick up more food from you. Am I able to get her together with other dogs yet? My sister has two small, very friendly dogs I could introduce her to. | Thursday, 05 January, 2023 6:20PM | Behavior |
A2207608 | Saturday, 17 December, 2022 | FOSTER UPDATE:
1.Are you planning to adopt your foster pet? If not, what is your intention? No, we are returning her to the shelter on 12/17/22.
2.Is your foster pet crate trained?I do not know, we did not use a crate with her and she was fine when we were at work but she would benefit from a crate at night, as she will scratch at bedrooms doors or have accidents in middle of night.
3.Is your foster pet potty trained? When we brought her home two weeks ago, no, she was having a lot of accidents in the home. Now, she is only having accidents inside about 20% of the time, she is learning.
4.How does your foster pet do with stairs? We do not have stairs.
5.Is your foster pet good with commands? She knows some commands- sit, shake, lay, roll over, come, working on stay. She appears very smart.
6.Does your foster pet resource guard e.g., exhibit possessive aggressive behaviors with food? Not that I have seen.
7.Does your foster pet resource guard e.g., exhibit possessive aggressive behaviors with toys? No, but she love toys and playing with people with them, she is strong and rough.
8.How does your foster pet do with cats? I do not know but she chases squirrels, so I doubt she likes cats.
9.Does your foster pet chew on things? Yes, she thinks anything on the floor is fair game to chew.
10.Does your foster pet display any behavior issues that is concerning? Overly excited when people come in front door, jumps, scratches. Often standing on kitchen island, looking for food.
11.Is your foster pet good with kids? She loves kids but again she needs some training to be calmer when playing.
12.How old are the kids that your foster pet was friendly with? 5 & 8
13.How does your foster pet do on walks? Does your foster pet pull on the leash? She loves walks and does not pull unless she sees another animal.
14.How does your foster pet do in a car? She does great in the car and seems to enjoy rides.
15.How does your foster pet behave around other people? She seems to love all people, the more attention they give her, the better.
16.How does your foster pet do near other animals? We tried to introduce her to another dog her same size and breed, and also with two, small dogs at a separate time. Both incidents she became very aggressive on the leash, trying to bite the other dogs when they got close. We did not try her with other dogs off leash.

A2207608 | Saturday, 17 December, 2022 | FOSTER UPDATE CONTINUED:
17.Does your foster pet behave while you eat? No, she begs for food and puts her front paws on the counter.
18.Does your foster pet beg for food at dinner time? yes
19.How does your foster pet accept treats? She loves treats and will do commands for them.
20.Do you know anyone that may be interested in your foster pet? Not at this time.
21.Are you currently promoting your foster pet on your own? Yes!
22.Is there any other type of information you can share on your foster pet? Glady is such a smart, sweet and loving girl. She loves attention, snuggling, giving kisses, getting her belly rubbed, going for walks, chewing bones and playing with rope toys. She only barks at the mailman, otherwise quiet. Minimal shedding. She has a lot of energy and would benefit from a home with a fenced in yard. With a little training, she will make a great pet for a family with no other animals. We will miss her!
