A2194934Tuesday, 14 June, 2022This pet has received treatment for Heartworm disease following our FDA approved two-injection treatment protocol for Class 1 disease. While this treatment is 90% effective, it is the adopter's responsibility to have their pet re-tested after 6 months post treatment. The test will be positive for several months after treatment. Continue giving monthly heartworm prevention medications throughout the life of your dog. If the adopted pet retests positive, a repeat series may need to be given at adopter's own veterinarian/expense. Please keep your pet exercise restricted for one month following treatment to reduce chance of a severe complication. Treatment of all medical conditions affecting this patient currently, or that patient may develop in the future is the adopter's responsibility. Once adopted, any and all bills and expenses incurred relating to this and any other conditions are the responsibility of the adopter at their own veterinarian. BCAC will not be responsible for any bills or expenses incurred relating to the condition of this patient. Wednesday, 15 June, 2022 4:45PMMedical

A2194934Sunday, 29 January, 2023Broward Buddies Date: 1/15/2023 Dog Name and ID: Malcolmn A2194934 Volunteer Name and Phone Number: Hayden Smith Broward Buddies Date Location(s) Visited: Wolf lake park, Riverside Market Duration of the Date: 4 hours 1.) How did the dog do in the car? He was perfect in the car, he say in the seat and looked out the window the whole time. It is a bit difficult to get him into the car, I recommend getting into the car yourself then calling him in with you. That worked for me everytime. 2.) How was the dog around other people? He was great around people, very friendly. He would sometimes jump up for attention but listened when ordered to back off. 3.) How was the dog near other animals? He ignored ducks and other dogs that we passed. 4.) Did the dog behave while you were eating? He did behave while we ate; he silently stared at our food. 5.) Did the dog beg for food? He did not bed, just stared. 6.) How did the dog accept treats? He took treats gently out of our hands. 7.) Did anyone show any interest in the dog? Many people gave him attention but no one showed interest in adopting. 8.) Did you take photos and videos? They are attached to this email 9.) Did you email photos and videos to: Foster@Broward.org ? ^ 10.) Other comments: Malcolmn is a very sweet playful dog. He was very excited to get out of the shelter but he was scared of getting in the car at first. I had to open the door for him, then get into the car myself first then he would follow me into the car. After getting into the car, he would calm down quickly and ride perfectly in the backseat. He never tried to jump into the front seat or misbehave in the backseat in any way. When we got to the park he was happy to walk around the entire park with us and behaved very well when walking around the park. He pulled when excited but backed off when told to. At the restaurant, he sat calmly with us while we had drinks and ate our food. Many people came up to give him attention and he enjoyed all of them, he is very friendly. He would be a great addition to any home. Sunday, 29 January, 2023 2:2PMBehavior
