A2154394Wednesday, 18 August, 2021Curtis is extremely strong on the leash and is dog reactive. He does not know how to calm down; if he sees a dog anywhere, even far away, it becomes a problem. I have to exclusively take him to a yard and let him loose because he will pull until he passes out, even if I run with him. In the yard he largely ignores me, but when he does pay attention he is very rough. His idea of affection is body slams, mouthing, and jumping. He likes to be pet but gets amped up and it's hard to control him.Saturday, 21 August, 2021 4:31PMBehavior
A2154394Wednesday, 18 August, 20218/18 Easy to leash inside kennel. Dog reactive. While walking outside, he began to bark and pull towards the other dogs nearby. He did listen well when commanding him to sit after showing him a treat. He does need a strong handler or a good harness and some leash training. Can be high energy and strong on the leash. coWednesday, 18 August, 2021 6:30PMBehavior

A2154394Wednesday, 10 November, 2021Very dog reactive in and outside the kennel, and is very difficult to leash when overstimulated/amped. Entering the kennel on his high results with him jumping and mouthing. He is a puller but he will pull to exhaustion when he sees another dog, otherwise he can be decent at times. In the yard he likes to play ball but might be possessive so more then one toy he likes is favorable for me. He can be too much if he decides its time to for one on one interaction but these are brief since he is distracted by toys or mostly other dogs walking past him, then he paces the fence barking at them. If he is calm then he can enjoy a few scratches but with a shelter environment these moments are far and few between.Wednesday, 10 November, 2021 4:15PMBehavior

A2154394Friday, 17 December, 2021While Curtis is usually pretty nice, he is very difficult for me to handle. He bolts out of the kennel even if I use treats to try and keep him in place. He will pull and choke himself, and will do so even more if a dog is near. I have to put him into a yard and let him run loose. I tried engaging in play but he was more interested in any dog he could see. If he does turn his attention towards you, his play style is jumping at your face or running full speed into you. Even after 30 minutes he was still totally amped up. He's very nice, but he definitely needs an environment where he is regularly stimulated and can get his physical energy out.Friday, 17 December, 2021 4:16PMNote
