A2138371Sunday, 11 July, 2021Jaina, is opening up alot since her arrival, but only with the staff she is familiar with. housebroken, takes treats nice, knows sit and paw. she does at times pull on leash (very strong girl) so i let her run in yard. she loves to explore and smell and when shes ready she comes to play with me. she play stances me alot, becomes a bit vocal, and sometimes it seems she is playing football or hockey with me, loves a good tackle. she is a great dog who needs the right family that better understands her breed, and has patience. she would be a very loyal dog, once she is trusting of others. she would need to be only pet in home, and no small kids. Sunday, 11 July, 2021 1:20PMBehavior
A2138371Thursday, 15 July, 2021for any potential "meet n greets". i advise future adopters to be seated and show treats. I introduced Jaina to a staff member, she noticed how Jaina would tilt her head down, so staff member sat on chair and waited for Jaina to smell her hand. she eventually after a few tries and patiently waiting for Jaina to come around she finally took a treat out of her hand. *Jaina did growl at another person who attempted to approach her too fast. *no small children, and no fast approaches, and Jaina will warm up with time. A2138371Friday, 10 September, 2021 Ryan, Cupid, Soldier, Pickle, Dwight, Caruso, Jaina, and Mambo are all looking for heroes. Please contact: rescue@broward.org for more information. Animal ID Number: A2138371 Name: Jaina Age: 3 years old Weight: 96 pounds Intake Date: 5/23/21 Personality: Calling all Rottie lovers! Our lovely Jaina is a dog that is desperate to bond with someone. She is fearful of strangers, which makes life in a busy public kennel particularly stressful. Once she gets over her "stranger danger" though, Jaina opens up and becomes a very playful, affectionate dog. Since she does have some issues meeting new people, Jaina really needs a foster home that can help manage her anxiety when she is introduced to new people and new situations, and teach her how to have positive interactions- at home and out and about. If you become Jaina's foster hero and help her find her forever home, you may have the most rewarding life experience ever! Sunday, 26 September, 2021 2:8PMRescue
