A1950981Friday, 23 April, 2021Juicy, is extremely reactive towards other dogs, in or outside of her kennel. she is very happy to see people, and seems to be very sweet. sadly if there is another dog around she quickly ignores me and growls pulls barks towards other dogs. i tried walking her away fast from the yards where there was other dogs, and she ran at me jumping of me in fustration. (will wait for playgroup assessment) i did have to use the shaker so she would stop being over reactive and it did work. Friday, 23 April, 2021 4:47PMBehavior

A1950981Wednesday, 28 April, 2021Periodontal disease- needs dental cleaning and possible extractions This patient is adoptable with a medical release due to suffering from periodontal disease that requires a dental cleaning. Unfortunately, most adult dogs and cats have periodontal disease due to the lack of teeth brushing. Bad breath is usually the primary sign of periodontal disease. Dogs' and cats' breath should not have a disagreeable odor. When periodontal disease advances, inability to chew hard food as well as excessive drooling with or without blood may occur. When periodontal disease is not treated, bacteria can continue to reproduce, creating deep pockets under the gum and teeth through bone destruction. If left untreated, periodontal diseases may cause loose painful teeth, tooth loss as well as internal disease. Treatment depends on the severity of disease. Early stages can be treated by teeth cleaning, polishing and application of antimicrobial products that help with plaque accumulation. In more advanced stages surgery is necessary to treat the affected teeth through specific procedures or extraction. Daily plaque control through tooth brushing is the key to help prevent periodontal disease. Special foods and treats are also available to help control calculus. Some products are approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Any interested adopter must make an appointment with their own veterinarian for evaluation of patient to determine the best course of treatment within 2 weeks of adoption. Treatment of all medical conditions affecting this patient currently, or that patient may develop in the future is the adopter's responsibility. Once adopted, any and all bills and expenses incurred relating to this and any other conditions are the responsibility of the adopter. BCAC will not be responsible for any bills or expenses incurred relating to the condition of this patient. Wednesday, 28 April, 2021 12:3PMMedical

A1950981Sunday, 12 September, 202109/12/21 16:56 I placed Juicy in a viewing room this AM to give her a break from the kennel and to feature her a bit. She readily came to the front of the cage when I approached and was easy to leash. Out in the yard, she sniffed around and urianted, but mostly just wanted attention, she really does find attention very motivating and reinforcing. Once in the viewing room, she sniffed around and ate treats. When I checked on her throughout the day, she was mostly sleeping or resting on the couch-like bench in the room. If I went in, she would readily solicit attention. She kept her room tidy and did not have any accidents. She walked well at the end of the day and urinated again before going back to her kennel. A1950981Thursday, 16 September, 20219/15/2021-Juicy was moved to a viewing room today to give her a break from her kennel and to feature her. On the walk prior to moving to the viewing room she urinated, but mostly wanted to solicit attention. Once in the viewing room, she quickly solicited attention from me. Throughout the day, I observed her mostly resting/sleeping comfortably on the bench in the room. At the end of the day on the walk she again urinated, but mostly wanted my attention. She kept her room very clean during the day. JJThursday, 16 September, 2021 10:54AMBehavior

A1950981Wednesday, 13 October, 202110/13/21 13:05- I brought Juicy to the office for a bit this morning to check in on her and give her a break from the kennel. She readily approached the front of the cage with loose and wiggly body language when I walked up. She was easy to leash and walk down the aisle outside. She did jump occasionally on the walk to solicit attention and did pull a bit, but both were very managable. She sniffed around and urinated on the walk back to the office. Once in the office she explored briefly and then solicited attention. She preferred to solicit attention and did this mostly throughout the session. She did also readily engage for treats and seemed to enjoy this. I offered toys, but she was uninterested in them. She rested comfortably on a blanket while I was in and out of the office as well. Walking back to the cage she did well and again seemed to enjoy sniffing around. No issues going back into her kennel. JJWednesday, 13 October, 2021 1:10PMBehavior
