A2124791Friday, 12 February, 2021Dani Arcos called on behalf of her friend who found this dog in Parkland asking if he could take him out on a Lunch Buddies date just to hang out with him. I explained the program and opportunities for adoption and fostering as an alternative. She said her friend already has 2 dogs and parents won't let him bring him home. I advised they should try to network him but I would make a note of her number in case he doesn't shelter well. 954-857-7431.Friday, 12 February, 2021 3:51PMNote-Supervisor
A2124791Sunday, 14 February, 2021Horton is a sweet and friendly guy. He gets excited and barks in his kennel as you are about to take him out. He is a pretty large dog, so he is quite strong and can be stubborn while outside walking. Besides this, he walks pretty well on the leash and was very easy to handle.Sunday, 14 February, 2021 1:17PMBehavior
A2124791Sunday, 14 February, 2021HE HAD LOOSE BODY LANGUAGE IN THE PEN. WHEN HE ENTERED THE YARD HE GOT TENSE AND HAD HIS HACKLES UP MOST OF THE TIME. HE MOSTLY KEPT TO HIMSELF, BUT WOULD GET STIFF EVERYTIME A DOG CAME TO GREET HIM. I SENT HIM FOR A WALK INSTEAD. Additional Note: Sunday, 14 February, 2021 4:42PMPlaygroup

A2124791Monday, 22 February, 202102/22/21 16:01 Received call back from finder, Omer, 954-348-9932. He said that he found the dog at the intersection of NW 87 Av and Holmberg Rd in Parkland. He did post a photo of the dog and try to locate an owner with no luck. Omar is willing to market the dog and try to find a home but needs some better photos. I let him know that we would take some new photos for our system and email them to him. His email address is Omer@novtech.com. A2124791Saturday, 27 March, 202103/12 and 03/19/2021 This male seems confident but laid back, Easy on the leash, he loves to sniff his way into his walk and takes his time. Friendly and docile the 2 times I walked him. Although he never came to me spontaneously to be petted, he welcomed the attention I gave him and slowly wagged his tail in appreciation. He never got agitated while in the pen seeing other dogs being walked, He never barked either. I noticed the exact same behavior each time I walked him (volunteer). A2124791Monday, 29 March, 202103/29/21 09:11 Horton was very excited about going outside. Clockwork he does his business promptly. The muzzle to the ground, he walks peacefully on the leash. He seems curious about his surroundings. Today he sits by me when I call him and gives me plenty of kisses. He is not interested in toys and prefers to investigate the yard. He keeps his cool when other dogs walk by. A very good boy indeed! Note from dog walking volunteer from experience of 3/28, enterred by ewood.Monday, 29 March, 2021 9:11AMNote

A2124791Saturday, 07 August, 2021**CAUTION: HORTON HAS A HOT SPOT ON HIS NECK** It comes and goes and has gotten bigger. He knows it's there. He knows you know it's there. And he doesn't want you to touch it, at all. This can make leashing and unleashing difficult. He will immediately stiffen if your hand goes anywhere near the sore. Use two leashes at all times and do whatever you're comfortable with - walking him, taking him to a yard, either works. Just *do not touch anywhere near his neck* or he will become aggressive!Saturday, 07 August, 2021 5:56PMBehavior
