A2018333Monday, 01 March, 2021Hannah's behavior seems to be declining. For a few days now, she becomes reactive when leashing to walk outside. (bites on leash or handler's shoe) It took me several attempts to leash her, I must be faster than her. Treats and other tools did not alter her behavior. Outside she did not calm down much. After a long walk I asked her to sit (which she did) I tried petting her and she almost bit me. She has become more anxious inside, or if she sees other dogs. She tried nibbling at my shoe when going back inside building. Hannah will need some time to decompress in a new home and be the only pet. Monday, 01 March, 2021 2:51PMBehavior

A2018333Monday, 15 March, 202103/15/21 - 16:45 Hannah appears to be very anxious and frustrated in her run. She bites the leash when you attempt to take her out. Staff has found a few methods of maneuver around this behavior, including distracting her with treats, spraying her with a squirt bottle, or leashing her as she exits the run. She is very fast so you have to be quick to leash her safely. While outside, she pulls on the leash and does not seem interested in interacting with the handler. In her run, she barks loudly and consistently when people are present. This row has a few amped up barking dogs in which they all feed off of each others barking, so it can be a stressful and loud environment. She knows sit and seems very food motivated. A2018333Wednesday, 31 March, 2021Hannah arrived at our facilities as a stray. She is very sweet, takes treats well, walks well on leash and is full of energy. Hannah is displaying some frustration and anxiety in her kennel, we are concerned that her behavior will decline if she isn't placed in a more suitable environment. When Hannah was admitted, she had a 3x2 size wound, wound was flushed and treated but due to her constant jumping and pacing in her kennel, the wound has not been able to fully heal. We feel that Hannah needs some time to decompress in a setting that is more appropriate for healing while giving her the opportunity to release her energy in a positive way. If you can help Hannah find a loving home, please contact us at Rescue@Broward.org Each shelter pet is evaluated as an individual. The nature and urgency of each pet's rescue plea is determined based on the current state of their health and behavior. Friday, 02 April, 2021 8:27AMRescue

A2018333Saturday, 03 April, 2021Hannah's behavior is declining, today while walking her she was extremely dog reactive, I did not feel comfrtable walking her a long distance. A2018333Tuesday, 06 April, 2021Very anxious and amped when walking by her kennel with consistantly barking and jumping the kennel door. She has to be push back with knee to enter her kennel while avoiding her from trying to bite the leash or hand. Her bites are not hard but enough to feel her teeth. She can be very destructive with toys, I wouldnt recommand anything with stuffing as she tears through them and any material made toy she would chew and tear then spit out piece by piece. She is a puller especially when another dog is present as she will start barking and tugging on the leash. Otherwise, Hannah ,at times, can be tolerable to walk, will sit for treats and she will listen.Tuesday, 06 April, 2021 1:7PMBehavior
