A2119792Tuesday, 16 February, 2021Continued: After the interaction with Kayden, I asked Allen to return Kayden back inside of his kennel, he agreed. Luckily, no one was injured during the interaction with Kayden. The child had bitten his own lip which broke the skin as he also urinated on himself as well as the child got scared of the interaction with Kayden.Tuesday, 16 February, 2021 3:49PMBehavior
A2119792Tuesday, 16 February, 2021I was receiving a family for a meet-and-greet with Kayden on Sunday 2/14/21 at 4:30pm. The family was comprised of a mother, two daughters (18 & 15-years-old), a 9-year-old boy, and a 1-year-old boy who the mom was carrying the entire time. I asked kennel staff member Allen to bring Kayden out to the meet-and-greet, and to meet him and Kayden in the bone yard with the family and me, and he agreed. After a few minutes, Allen made his way inside the bone yard with Kayden on a leash, and I asked Allen to take Kayden for a walk around the bone yard upon arrival. When Allen finished taking Kayden for a walk around the boneyard, he brought Kayden close to the family and I who were waiting for him and Kayden near the plastic couches. Before Allen brought Kayden close to the family and I with a leash, I advised the family to allow Kayden to smell the top of their hand first before reaching into pet Kayden on the side of his leg so Kayden can get familiar with their scent. When Allen brought Kayden closer to the family with the leash, the children were doing as I asked them to do which was allow Kayden to smell the top of their hand first before reaching in to pet Kayden on the side of his leg. The two daughters had a positive experience as they were able to pet Kayden with no issues as Kayden jumped up to 'hug' one of the daughters with a wagging tail to greet her. While Kayden was still 'hugging' one of the daughters with a wagging tail, the mom who was still carrying the one-year-old, had her one-year-old extend his arm so Kayden would be able to smell his hand. While the young child extended his hand close to Kayden's muzzle so Kayden can smell it, Kayden immediately showed hackles and let out a low growl. The mom and I took notice of Kayden's behavior towards the 1-year-old, so therefore, the mom immediately pulled the young child's arm away from Kayden as I was also asking her to do so at the same time, but while in the process of the mom pulling her child's arm away from Kayden's muzzle, Kayden lunged at the young child's arm in an attempt to bite the child's arm, but luckily the mom had already pulled the arm away from Kayden's muzzle just in time to avoid a possible serious injury to the child's arm as Allen also pulled Kayden back on the leash to avoid any possible injuries in the event. A2119792Sunday, 21 March, 20213/21 Kayden is very energetic and can redirect on the leash when taking out of the kennel. I was able to leash him and walk him to the door, when I went to open the door, he quickly jumped up to bite the leash. I had to step back quickly. Walking outside he did pull a bit at first but calmed down once we passed the play yards.coSunday, 21 March, 2021 6:14PMBehavior
A2119792Sunday, 21 March, 2021i take Kayden out for very short walks. i do not trust him. on occasion he has redirected on leash. to walk him out safely i lock other dogs over so he will not become reactive or overly stimulated. to bring him back i have to use alot of treats if not i would not be able to retrieve my leash. Kayden has become more people selective and most staff can not walk him.Sunday, 21 March, 2021 4:54PMBehavior
